Autonomous Surface Vehicles (ASV) Ltd. has recently demonstrated its C-Worker in Houston. More than 40 major oil and

gas companies were represented at the two-day demonstration of the new unmanned surface vehicle.
The demonstration consisted of C-Worker, fitted with a Sonardyne Gyro USBL acoustic positioning system, executing

seabed positioning and Compatt calibration, as well as station keeping and following survey lines.
Officially launched in February, the C-Worker vehicle can autonomously conduct subsea positioning, surveying, and

monitoring.
It has also opened up new possibilities and ways of carrying out oil and gas operations at sea. Additional

technological advancements introduced in the C-Worker include the integration of a variety of offshore payload

combinations including USBL, ADCP (current meter), CTD, multi-beam sonar, acoustic telemetry, and passive acoustic

sonar (PAM) for marine mammal detection.
ASV will operate and lease C-Worker vehicles, with options for bare-boat and full-service solutions.
